The Ambassador of Sierra Leone to Switzerland, Lansana Gberie has on the 2nd August, 2023 engaged the secretary General of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), Doreen Bogdagen-Martin on plans of a strategic partnership
The engagement was based on the plans to discuss ways of enhancing partnership that will advance and sustain meaningful connectivity and digital transformation to address the pressing social media challenges as well as unlocking opportunities for education and inclusive development in Sierra Leone.
The International Telecommunication Union Is A United Nations Agency for digital technology that connects the world through spectrum management, brokering standards and bridging the digital divide at different sectors in the world.
The Sierra Leone Embassy in Switzerland has also taken part in the World Trade Organization conference in which the need to deliver on the unfolding food security crisis and Agricultural reform to unlock LDCs and NFIDCs production capacities ahead of MC13 were discussed.
