An officer in the Sierra Leone Police, Inspector Ishmeal Keifala was awarded the title of Ideal Officer in the just-concluded Countering International Terrorism Course in Egypt.
The specialised course, which was conducted in collaboration with the Egyptian Agency of Partnership Development (EAPD), took nearly a month.
Inspector Keifala was able to receive two accolades during the course including excellent academic skills and physical excellence in marksmanship and leadership.
Inspector Keifala, after receiving the award said the course highlights the importance of international cooperation.
“I am elated to be singled out of the 21 countries raising the flag amongst African and Commonwealth countries,” he said. “I am glad to represent the Sierra Leone Police in an excellent way.
Other officers from Sierra Leone that took part in the training included Assistant Police Superintendent, Martin Fayia and Inspector Francis Blake.
