The Council of Legal Education has opened applications for the position of Director of the Sierra Leone Law School.
The Council, the statutory body responsible for training candidates for admission to the legal profession in Sierra Leone, is inviting qualified legal academics and practitioners to apply for the leadership role.
According to the Council, the Director will serve as head of the Sierra Leone Law School and Secretary to the Council of Legal Education. The role combines academic leadership, administrative oversight, and liaison responsibilities between the Law School and the Council.
The successful candidate will be responsible for admissions, coordination and reporting, and convening Council meetings in collaboration with the Council Chair. The Director will also perform other duties as assigned by the Council.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements: possession of qualifications equivalent to a Professorship of Law at a recognised university within the Commonwealth or other high-level academic credentials in law, and at least ten years of active legal practice.
Interested candidates are required to submit a letter of interest outlining their suitability for the role, along with a detailed curriculum vitae and contact information for two referees.
