On the bid to improve to help boost the educational sector in the country, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has joined hands with the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE) to facilitate the reintegration of 200 vulnerable girls in school.
The UNFPA representative, Nadia Rashid has worked with the Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary Education, Conrad Sackey and Ambassador Fitzpatrick who ensured these girls get a place into the formal education sector in Konibaya, Koinadugu District.
It is noted that, these girls have joined another set of over 2,000 girls who are returning to the formal school system after several challenges in four district through the support and facilitation of the UNFPA and the Irish Aid in Sierra Leone.
