The Peace Ambassador of Sierra Leone, Alhaji Amadu Bah, and his team have returned home safely after a successful two-week seminar on the United Nations Forest Instrument held in Beijing, China. The team departed from Sierra Leone on July 17, 2024, and returned on August 1, 2024.

The seminar, which brought together participants from eight developing countries, provided a comprehensive understanding of the United Nations Forest Instrument and the National Academy of Forestry and Grassland Administration (NAFGA).

During their stay in Beijing, the seminar facilitators at NAFGA displayed professionalism and extended warm hospitality to the team, for which we are grateful.
Ambassador Bah and his team were pleased to learn about biodiversity and conservation, Chinese cultural heritage, and enjoyed various Chinese cuisines. They also appreciated witnessing China’s transformation into a modern society.

This opportunity was made possible by His Excellency President Bio, who entrusted Ambassador Bah with this responsibility. Ambassador Bah and his team are deeply grateful to President Bio.

Finally, on behalf of the Office of the Peace Ambassador, Alhaji Amadu Bah would like to express sincere gratitude to the Chinese Embassy in Sierra Leone for their support, with special thanks to Manager Agu for a job well done.
