J Bangs, a legendary music producer of J Bangs Music, a renowned music producer in Eastern Freetown, was injured in a terrible building collapse, on Congress Road close Brima Lane including several people.
Eyewitnesses said the group had gathered for rehearsal when the building collapsed living one person dead was with several others severely injured.
“…he and several others involved in the accident were rehearsing for their annual church gospel concert when the two story building collapsed, killing one person.” Eyewitness said.
The two-storey building, housing a daycare center, fell while he and his team members were rehearsing for their annual gospel concert.
Fortunately, the daycare was closed during the incident, which prevented a more serious disaster.
J Bangs is reported to be suffering from a broken leg and arm and could hardly move his neck. He is currently receiving medical attention at Masanga Hospital in Tonkolili, where his condition is regarded as serious but stable.
The police are yet to release any official statement regarding the cause of the building collapse. Sources said the group had gathered for rehearsal when the building collapsed.
