Being an Artiste might be very easy but being a Successful Artiste is not easy. To succeed as an Artiste You must be Patient. Many Upcoming Artistes give up on their dreams very easy because they are in a haste to succeed and it is not coming.

They get frustrated after putting out so much work and still getting Zero Attention. Emmerson has been in the industry for more than 10years. Some of You seeing him now think he just started three years ago. Meaning he is very patient and knows it takes patience to succeed. Release Quality not Quantity. Upcoming artistes are the most insecured people I have seen. They feel down almost every time and always in a haste to drop many projects thinking it is a way to blow. As an Artiste you should concentrate on Quality. Quality here also means staying true to your Arts, being original. You should also learn Production, mixing and Mastering. The future belongs to Artistes who can produce their own music. You might be surprise but Boy Tag Produces most of his Songs.

Get a Catchy Slogan. Many Artistes you know today always have a slogan they use and it always attract people to them.

Many people even Fall in love with just this and start liking you. I call it branding. Trying to stand out. As an Artiste, Which slogan are you using?

Promote Your Arts. Get the right bloggers, get the neccesary Radio and Tv Stations. I always say this. Bloggers are like sales Agents. They take your products to the consumers. Make use of them. All of them have a Price. In this Aspect, I think Emmerson and his team still have to improve on it.

Start Your own Label. The likes of Makmuday Watalara form his own label (SLIM NATION) you can’t keep waiting for Record labels. If you plan and strategize well, You will still succeed. So stop waiting for a record label because many come when you have already made a name. Remember its buisness. They won’t just invest anyhow.

Get a good Educational Background. Anything in life needs Education. Don’t hurry and drop from school just because you want to start music. As an Artiste, You will have to write songs, communicate and do many things. You will be ashame with the way some Artistes write on Media. Education will shape both your mind an behaviour.
