Laurita Simeon, known by her stage name Lolo Simeon, has made a name for herself as a reality TV star and the winner of House of Stars season 2. In a recent interview, Lolo shared her journey and how the popular show helped introduce her to Sierra Leone.

Before her appearance on House of Stars, Lolo explained that many people were not familiar with her. She returned to Sierra Leone with the goal of making an impact on the modeling industry. “My aim for that show was for Sierra Leone to know me and get to understand what I’m doing,” Lolo said.

She said “I entered the show with the idea of selling myself, and I believe I did it to the best of my ability. I ended up coming out as a brand ambassador for one of the biggest brands in the country, Zarluk.”

Since her success, Lolo has continued to work on her foundation, the “Let Our Children Dream Foundation,” which aims to help children grow up with the belief that they can achieve anything they set their hearts and minds to. “I have sent three candidates internationally to represent Sierra Leone, and I am very proud because all of them returned with trophies,” she shared.

Despite her success, Lolo also reflected on her experiences during her first year on the show. “In the first show, people got to discover who I am, but in season two, people already knew who I was and what I was capable of,” she explained. She added that the level of toxicity in the environment during her first season was much lower compared to the second season. “I went through so much abuse, I was picked on a lot, and there were times when I felt like asking to leave. It was a lot of pressure.”

Lolo also addressed the allegations surrounding her entry into the House of Stars. Some speculated that she didn’t go through the same audition process as the other contestants. “I am like every other candidate,” she clarified.

“I was tagged as a ‘star’ because people knew me already. I went through the same process as the others, but since I was based in France at the time, I had to audition online. After I was shortlisted, the organizers decided not to reveal me until the last minute. I was also voted in by my circle of supporters,” she said.

Reflecting on her second time in the House of Stars, Lolo noted the overwhelming support from fans and social media. “Many people wanted change when I didn’t win the first time, and they regretted not voting for me,” she said. “Fans began tagging me on social media, saying I should be part of season 2. Eventually, I was tagged again, and that’s when I considered returning.

Throughout her time in the competition, Lolo remained focused on her goal of sharing her passion and knowledge with others. “My strategy was to be me,” she said. “I went into the house to live my life and share my story. I wanted my lifestyle to influence others and to impact people through my actions.”

As Lolo continues to work on bigger projects, her journey is an inspiring one. From her rise as a model to her efforts in helping others, Lolo Simeon is leaving a lasting impact both in Sierra Leone and beyond.
