Gibrilla Koroma, Foday Kanneh and nine others on Thursday 13 January 2022, appeared before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pandemba Road Court No.1 Freetown on six court charges – conspiracy to commit a felony contrary to law, shop breaking and larceny contrary to section 26 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916 and four courts that include receiving stolen goods contrary to Section 33 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of offence, on Thursday 4th November 2021 at Wilkinson Road, Freetown all the accused conspire together with other persons unknown to commit a felony to wit shop breaking and larceny.

On count two the accused persons with intent to steal broke and entered into the shop of  Khalil Ibrahim Shour and stole therein the sum of one hundred and thirty United States (130,000) equivalent in valued sixteen million Leones, one Samsung Galaxy tablet valued five million Leones (5,500,000) all to the total value of one billion five hundred and fifty five million seven hundred thousand Leones (1,555,700,000) property of Khalil Ibrahim Shour. And on the offence of receiving stolen goods.

After putting the charges to the accused persons, no plea was taken. on that note defense council C. Campbell Esq. representing all the accused persons applied for bail for all of them.

According to Independent Observer Newspaper, Magistrate Kekura granted each accused persons bail in the sum of five hundred million Leones plus one surety each in like sum, sureties to be elderly and responsible citizens who are to be gainfully employed from a recognized institution and must produce valid identity card depicting there addresses in Freetown, and bailed to be approved by the Deputy Assistant Registrar Sergeant 9155 Dwight Marcarthy is prosecuting the matter, which was adjourned to 20th January 2022.
