It has been 100 days since the tragic death of Victor Onie Williams, a young man who was taken from his mother in a violent act. His mother, Ebiduni Onie Williams, shared an emotional post expressing her grief and the ongoing search for justice.

100 days,” she writes, “100 days since my only child, Onie, was suddenly taken from me. 100 days of unanswered questions, 100 days of silence, 100 days of heartbreak.”

Onie, whom she lovingly called Effion, wasn’t just her son but someone who belonged to the entire community. “He was not just my son he was our son,” she said. “He belonged to you too, Mama Salone. He was kind, good-hearted, and always tried to do right by everyone.”

In her message, she continues to call on Mama Salone to act and treat her son’s death with the seriousness it deserves. “Act like you lost a son too,” she urges.

An autopsy report released months ago revealed the true extent of Onie’s death. It confirmed he was murdered, with multiple blunt force fractures to his head, neck, and abdomen, along with severe facial injuries. The report also noted manual strangulation with fingernail marks and extensive skull fractures. These findings confirmed that Onie’s death was the result of a deliberate and sustained attack.

“Onie was not just my son he was our son. He carried light, even in death,” she wrote, reflecting the shock and sorrow felt by those who knew him.

Despite the severity of the findings, authorities have not named any suspects, though the case has been classified as a homicide.

For Onie’s mother, the pain remains as raw as ever. “My arms are empty,” she writes. “And as a mother, mi heart nor sweet wan.”

Her message is not only about her own grief but also a call for justice for all mothers who have lost their children under similar circumstances. “Mothers deserve justice. I deserve justice. Onie deserves justice,” she declared.
