Africell Sierra Leone has presented prizes to winners of its latest “Win Kopo” promotion, reaffirming its stated commitment to rewarding customer loyalty and supporting communities across the country.

The presentation ceremony brought together company officials, winners, and members of the public, as part of Africell’s continuing promotional campaign, which the company says has been running for several years.

Speaking at the event, Africell Sierra Leone’s Marketing and Digital Manager, Kamanda Koroma, described the “Win Kopo” promotion as one of the company’s longest-running initiatives. He said the promotion operates on a continuous basis, with customers having opportunities to win prizes weekly, monthly, and annually.

Koroma noted that Africell’s approach is centered on maintaining strong relationships with customers through consistent service delivery and loyalty-driven initiatives, adding that promotions form an integral part of the company’s engagement strategy. Also speaking, Africell’s Merchandising Supervisor, Alhaji Brima Bah, said the company has awarded prizes to thousands of customers since 2021.

He stated that the promotion is designed not only to recognize customer loyalty but also to contribute to household welfare and community empowerment.

During the ceremony, Africell presented prizes to several grand winners, including Ibrahim B. Sesay of Mountain Cut, who received Le 250,000; John Thoronka from Magburaka, who also received Le 250,000; Mr. Samba Bockarie from the Northern Region, who received Le 25,000; and Dennis Sesay from Bo, who received Le 25,000.

Bah further noted that Africell marked 25 years of operations in Africa and 20 years in Sierra Leone last year, milestones the company says reflect its longstanding presence and engagement in local communities.

One of the grand prize winners, Ibrahim B. Sesay, said he initially doubted the authenticity of the promotion, believing such offers were unlikely to benefit ordinary customers.

He explained that his perception changed after receiving confirmation of his winnings and completing the question-and-answer segment of the promotion. Sesay said the experience convinced him that the process was genuine and transparent.

Africell management said the company will continue to roll out similar promotions in the coming months, as part of its efforts to sustain customer engagement and provide opportunities for more subscribers to benefit from its campaigns.
