Ikubolaje Nicol, the former manager of Skye Bank, has appeared before Justice Ansumana Sesay at the High Court in Freetown, charged with the alleged murder of Sinnah Kai-Kargbo, a former employee of the same institution.

After a preliminary investigation by Magistrate Mark Ngegba, it was determined that there was a case to answer, the accused was sent for trial in the High Court in March of this year. During the court hearing on Tuesday, the accused pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to murder, murder, and perverting the course of justice. The trial has been adjourned to May 19th, later this year.

In the same court, Justice Sesay remanded Mai Dumbuya, Tamba Lebbie, Alfred Kargbo (also known as Bad Pee), Ishmiel Samura (also known as Isho), and Peter Kaloko. They are facing charges of conspiring to murder Memumatu Bangura on May 8th, 2022.

Among the accused, Alfred Kargbo is also charged with the murder of Memumatu Bangura. All of the accused individuals pleaded not guilty. The case has been adjourned to May 19th, with the matter transferred to Justice Adrian Fisher.

In another case, Justice Ivan Sesay sentenced Foday Koroma to 11 months in prison, which he had already served on remand, after pleading guilty to the charge of fraudulent conversion. The case file revealed that on June 28th, 2022, in Freetown, Foday Koroma converted a black Bajaj Boxer BM motorbike with registration number ATR-356. The motorbike, valued at nineteen thousand new Leones (NLE 19,000), was entrusted to him by Alpha Sesay for commercial purposes.

According to the convict, he had given the motorbike to his friend to use for commercial purposes, but his friend disappeared with the property.
