The Chief Executive Officer of Smile for Women and Children, Linda Jaward, has announced that the organisation will sponsor David Mustapha to travel abroad for specialized prosthetic treatment.

According to Jaward, the decision was taken in David’s best interest to enable him to access advanced prosthetic care that will improve his quality of life and support his long-term independence.

David Mustapha lost both hands in a case that drew national attention. His grandfather, Abubakarr Jalloh, is currently serving a 75-year prison sentence after being convicted in connection with the permanent amputation of the child’s hands.

Linda Jaward also appealed to the public to support David’s rehabilitation journey, emphasizing that no contribution is too small in helping him secure a brighter future.

She reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to standing by David throughout his treatment, recovery, and rehabilitation process.

The planned overseas treatment is expected to provide David with modern prosthetic support aimed at enhancing his mobility, independence, and overall well-being.
