In his campaign to get and assist inmates across the country, the CEO and founder for the Second Chance Foundation, Prezo Koroma has through the foundation called for donation to assist four inmates who are currently held at the male correctional centre in BO.

According to Koroma, all four inmates were found guilty of various offenses and they are all first time offenders who have got an alternative of paying the court fines or serve a jail term. Koroma calls on individuals to effect donation and save these inmates from imprisonment.

The donation he said may cover hiring of lawyers to represent inmates who are mentally sick in court, to pay fines for inmates to regain their freedom and many more.

He statement reads as follow: “Four of our compatriots have been held at the Male Correctional Centre Bo after being found guilty of various offenses and they are first-time offenders. They have an alternative of paying court fines or serving a jail term.

Johnny Bappie is to pay a court fine of 2 million old Leones or serve a jail term of 1 year, Mohamed Kamara is to pay a fine of 3 million old Leones or serve a jail term of 4 years, Mohamed Turay is to pay 2 million old Leones or serve a jail term of 4 years and Ibrahim Koroma is to pay a fine of 2 million old Leones or serve a jail term of 4 years.

However, four of them are to pay cumulative court fines of 9 million old Leones or serve their respective jail terms. The Second Chance Foundation is kindly soliciting donations from the general public to help secure the release of our brothers behind bars.
