A 6-year-old girl named Sia Momoh, residing in the BBC Compound, Bolima, Waterloo, lost her life after falling into an uncovered well on her property.
The landlord of the residence, identified as Mr. Dankay, is now a fugitive from justice. He allegedly removed the protective covering from the well, which led to the tragic accident. Authorities have launched a search for Mr. Dankay to hold him accountable for his negligence.
Following the unfortunate incident, the lifeless body of young Sia Momoh was transported to the Connaught Hospital mortuary for a thorough post-mortem examination.
Regrettably, this incident is not an isolated one. Just in the month of July 2023, a distressing tally of seven children lost their lives due to drowning incidents in and around Waterloo.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Sia Momoh and all the victims of these tragic accidents. May their souls rest in peace.
