A 21-Year-Old Girl lady, Salamatu Conteh has been accused of killing her uncle, Musa Dumbuya in Freetown.
Awoko reports that Conteh is now facing a charge of murder and has been taken into custody at the Female Correctional Facility in Freetown while her investigation continues.
During her preliminary hearing at Pademba Road Court No. 1 in Freetown on Thursday, September 14, 2023, under Magistrate Marke Ngegba, Conteh saw her bail request denied and was subsequently incarcerated.
Police records state that on Sunday, July 15, 2023, at No. 28 Sumalia Town in Freetown, she allegedly took her uncle’s life. As the charges were presented to her, Conteh refrained from entering a plea, which is customary during the initial stages of the investigation, rather than a full trial.
Mary Samura, the spouse of the late Dumbuya, reported the incident. She claimed that an argument between the accused and the deceased escalated, leading Conteh to use a knife to stab her uncle.
Prosecutor ASP Dahlia Wellington requested a delay in the proceedings due to the unavailability of her witnesses. As a result, Magistrate Ngegba ordered Conteh’s continued detainment and postponed the hearing to September 22, 2023.
Honestly,those kind of people shouldn’t deserve to be keep for long,such person should be killed immediately,I believe it’s will cut than this killing crime in our society.

What if the uncle was trying to abuse her?
Killing murderers is not the way forward am glad she is being given a fair trial actually most murders are accidental….If we start killing for murder then we would probably have to kill off half of our osd forces because we all know what happened

News is scanty and makes one more confused than inform for instance what was the exact circumstances leading to this incident , was he trying to rape her? I don’t believe an ordinary argument with a girl could lead to this research well and report next time
