The Guma Valley Water Company (GVWC) has announced the successful completion of repair works on key transmission pipelines and washout valves at Pogodon-Hamilton and Mambo, bringing relief to residents of Freetown.
According to GVWC, water supply to the city has now resumed in line with the Saturday rationing schedule. The repairs were part of ongoing efforts to maintain and improve the reliability of the water distribution network in the Western Area.
In a statement, GVWC management expressed gratitude to customers for their patience and cooperation during the temporary disruption, emphasizing the company’s commitment to delivering safe and reliable water to the public.
The resumption marks a significant step in ensuring continuous water service to households and businesses across Freetown, following recent maintenance interventions.
