Mohamed Sannoh a Mason has been remanded in prison by Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Magistrate Court No.1 in Freetown for alleged murder.

The accused was before the court on onecount of murder contrary to law.

According to the particulars of offence, it was alleged that, the accused on Saturday, 15 June, 2024 at Raymond Coker Drive, Hill Station Freetown murdered his wife Mammie Jaward.

It was also alleged that the deceased Mammie Jaward was physically abused by her husband (the accused) and as a result she sustained injury which later led to her death.

When the charge was read and explained to the accused no plea was taken.

The police prosecutor Sergeant Lahai informed the court that his witness was absent and therefore could not proceed with the matter.

Magistrate Sahr Kekura granted his application and adjourned the matter to 17th October, 2024 and the accused was remanded in prison.
