Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Alphonso A. Fambulleh, popularly known as Correct Man, led an inspection at the Old Police Barracks in Bo West Division on Saturday 25th November 2023.
The purpose of the inspection was to ensure that the facilities met essential standards for the residing police officers.
During the thorough inspection, Fambulleh assessed various crucial aspects including cleanliness, maintenance, safety measures, and overall living conditions at the Barracks. This comprehensive evaluation involved scrutinizing living quarters, and common areas, and identifying any signs of disrepair or potential hazards that could compromise the officers’ safety.
Notably, the focus extended beyond cleanliness to encompass the availability of basic amenities such as clean water, electricity, and adequate ventilation. The aim was to guarantee a comfortable and secure living environment for the officers
The barracks was built in 1930 and till today nothing has been done to improve the situation especially barracks number one (1 ) that was built with wood, this is not the first nor last time inspection has been done, it’s all bullshit, government in and out since President kabba to date its the same thing, the buildings are dilapidated and there is nothing good to write about old police barracks. i spent most of my life there from 1995-2013 so it’s not a new thing, except otherwise the president goes there himself and see the deplorable conditions of the police officers that are living there then maybe they will take it seriously but other than that it’s a waste of time.
