The MV Mahera Ferry which broke down at sea on Friday, February 3rd, 2022, arrived safely at the Lungi Port at around 1 pm.
After being stranded for three hours, the Ferry was partially fixed due to the intervention of Maritime Administration and final took to the Targrin Terminal albeit at a snail pace.
“At last, and after 3 hours of painstakingly waiting, the Ferry has been partially fixed up due to the snail pace intervention of Maritime Administration.” One of its passengers said.
The M.V Mahera Ferry, had set out for lungi targrin terminal early today when it engines had reportedly stopped working.
Report by the Local Media said the Ferry was carrying hundreds of passengers two times its capacity.
