In a proactive move to ensure the well-being of detainees, Chief Superintendent of Police Alphonso Abdulai Fambulleh, the Local Unit Commander (LUC) of Bo West Division, led a thorough cleaning of the divisional cells on Saturday, November 11th, 2023.
LUC Fambulleh, representing the Regional Police Commander South, AIG Brima Kanneh, emphasized the Sierra Leone Police’s commitment to safeguarding the lives and properties of citizens. This initiative stems from the shared leadership experiences of CSP Fambulleh and AIG Kanneh during their time in Bo, aiming to set an example for the entire community.
“I am not an armchair leader,” stated Chief Superintendent Fambulleh, highlighting his proactive approach to leadership. The comprehensive cleaning covered all cells, prioritizing the detainees’ health and aligning with public expectations.
The collaborative effort involved units and departments from both Bo West and Regional headquarters, ensuring full compliance with hygiene standards. LUC Fambulleh, known for restoring community policing, has been actively engaging with the community to address issues such as drug abuse and lawlessness.
Acknowledging Fambulleh’s dedication, AIG Kanneh commended him for maintaining the city’s calmness. “My leadership has always aimed to involve the community, recognizing the police’s efforts,” he stated. AIG Kanneh urged collective action to uphold the 21st-century policing system, emphasizing the importance of working together to ensure a safer and more secure environment.
The story is incomplete as other stakeholders of the initiative weren’t covered.
