In response to the prevailing security concerns related to unlawful protests and riots that have been affecting the nation, the Pujehun Police Division, under the vigilant leadership of Superintendent Rashid Osman Koroma and his dedicated Assistant Superintendent, Patricia Lombe Kobba, initiated a proactive security operation known as the “Reassurance Double Sure Patrols” on Monday, 11th September 2023.
Early in the morning, a substantial number of law enforcement personnel, led by Superintendent Rashid Osman Koroma and accompanied by Assistant Superintendent Patricia Lombe Kobba on the SLP 355, conducted extensive patrols throughout the major towns of Pujehun Division. These patrols were aimed at monitoring and ensuring public safety in places such as schools, driver and bike rider parking areas, and marketplaces, among others.
Remarkably, the patrols indicated a significant return to normalcy in the region. Even preschool children were seen attending school, the transport sector was operating without disruption, and market vendors and business owners went about their daily routines without fear. Notably, the usual Monday trade fair, locally known as “Luma,” in Bandajuma Town, Sowa Chiefdom, proceeded without any reported disturbances.
In summary, the entire area of responsibility within the Pujehun Division is currently experiencing relative calm and an atmosphere of profound peace, thanks to the diligent efforts of Superintendent Rashid Osman Koroma, Assistant Superintendent Patricia Lombe Kobba, and the dedicated law enforcement personnel involved in the Reassurance Double Sure Patrols. The division remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of its residents during these challenging times.
