Christopher Sorie Kabba, Qnet staff who is an online marketer on Tuesday 6th September 2022, appeared before Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Court No 1 for allegedly duping one Mohamed Jusu Koroma a safety officer working for Kingho Railway and Port Company situated at Pepel Lungi.

The accused Christopher Sorie Kabba is charged with a count of obtaining money by pretenses Contrary to Section 32 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916. According to the Particulars of offense, the accused Christopher Sorie Kabba on a date unknown between 1st – 30th June 2022, at Haja Fatmata, Freetown, with intent to defraud, obtained the sum of thirty thousand new Leones from Mohamed Jusu Koroma by falsely pretending that he will facilitate his traveling to Canada, which is known to be false.

The charge was read and explained to the accused person and no plea was taken. However, Magistrate Ngegba refused bail and adjourned the matter to the 12th of September 2022. Inspector Kadie M Taylor is Prosecuting the matter.

In another development, Mohamed Loleh made his second appearance on Tuesday 6th September 2022, before Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Court No. 3 on a count of fraudulent conversation contrary to Section 20 (1) (iv) of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the charge sheet, the accused Mohamed Loleh, on Monday 29th August 2022, at the car wash back of old school Hill Station, Freetown, fraudulently converted to its use or benefit certain property, that is to say, one Kamah Generator Machine valued eight thousand Leones and one unknown name Generator Machine valued eight thousand Leones, all total value of sixteen thousand Leones entrusted to him by Mohamed Yasin Sow for safekeeping.

The charge was read and explained to the accused person and a plea was taken.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Bangura refused bail and adjourned the matter to the 12th of September 2022. Detective Superintendent Sorie Conteh is Prosecuting the matter.
