Sierra Leone has rank the first 1st place in countries that young people want to leave the most in a recent research.

A study conducted by 24/7 tempo listed the West African nation in the top spot. The study used analytics from international polling company Gallup. The study reviewed Potential Net Migration Index of countries.

The study involved young people aged 15-29 years.

The study listed a total of 21 countries with Syria ranking last. According to the list, Liberia is second to Sierra Leone.

The research indicated that the reason people want to leave the 21 countries is because of crises like lack of job opportunities or instability While others move to escape conflict, persecution and human rights violation.

The research indicated that the principal reason most young people have not migrated is because they lack the resources to do so.

Sierra Leone, recently, has seen its economy nosedived. The country’s currency continue to plummet against the US Dollar and inflation is at a staggering level.

The country will go to the polls this June with young people to form the most of the electorates.
