A Teacher of the Government Secondary School in Kenema, Edison Asmiru Mansaray, whom had been diagnosed with a lipoma disease, growing at the side of his neck, has become worsen to the point that, the growth have occupied from his jaw down to the left part of his neck.
A lipoma is a slow-growing, fatty lump that’s most often situated between your skin and the underlying muscle layer. They commonly occur in the neck, shoulders, back, abdomen, arms and thighs and can be painful if they grow and press on nearby nerves or if they contain many blood vessels.
Edison have been suffering from lipoma disease for a long time and had underwent surgery three times, removing the lipoma that have been regrowing at the same spot.
This time around, the Lipoma has grown so big and considering the fact that it has been removed three times but still regrows, means that a more advanced and urgent medical attention is needed.
