In as much as we respect the right of the suspect in custody, the Minister of Skye Bank, Bola Nicole, in the presumption of innocence until proven guilty by a competent court, but equally so nobody has the right to take another man’s life.
Therefore late Sinnah’s death must not be Trivialized.
We are looking forward to see that the police executes its functions in the interest of justice and fair play. We felt compelled to echo that the investigators at the headquarters of the Criminal Investigations Department must represent the force well in the dispensation of fair handling of the matter.
All ears are on ground now to hear whether the police will press charges or not on the suspect, Bola Nicol, Bank Manager at Skye Bank.
Under the presumption of innocence, the legal burden of proof lies on the prosecution. So to trivialize the investigation at this stage by purporting that there was no scuffle is ridiculous and that would not imply that the suspect should work home free.
Whether there was scuffle or not, the autopsy report has proven that late Sinnah’s death was not natural. That itself is for the court to decide and check on the veracity of the evidence that may be adduced in the matter when it is finally charged to court.
In the interest of justice, we are hoping to see fair play both on the part of the suspect Bola Nicol who is currently in custody, and the deceased late Sinnah Kai Kargbo.
