The trial concerning the alleged assassination conspiracy against Musa Yerroh Barrie, the Director General of the Sierra Leone Civil Aviation Authority, continued on June 24, 2025, with five accused individuals charged with conspiracy to murder.

The defendants—Albert Sheriff Soloku, Foday Turay, Musa Kamara, Augustine Rashid Kelfal Josiah, and Kadiatu Kamara—appeared before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at Pademba Road Court No. 2, where the session concluded with an adjournment. They remain in custody.

The charges stem from an alleged conspiracy that occurred on April 18, 2025, in Freetown, following the complainant’s receipt of a threatening audio recording. During the court session, Detective Police Constable Alie Kamara of the Criminal Investigation Department provided testimony, facing cross-examination by defense counsel Maddieu Sesay.

The defense focused on the authenticity of the audio evidence, questioning how it was obtained and the complainant’s lack of expertise in voice analysis.

Counsel Sesay requested an adjournment to continue cross-examination and reiterated a bail application for the accused, which was denied by the magistrate.
