The Waterloo Whitestone Community people have complained of experiencing power outage amidst the festive season, a time when even the suburb areas of the country gets to enjoy the sight of electricity.
According to a resident, this is as a result of a vehicle that crashed on their electricity pole and cut off the cables some days ago.
After the said incident, he said, one or two residents called the attention of the Electricity Distribution And Supply Authority (EDSA) to fix the problem but to no avail.
He added that there was no power on the eve of Christmas, on Christmas day and till today the 26th there is still blackout at the Whitestone, Old Road, Waterloo.
He continued that when they reached out to EDSA, a staff told them that they are on holiday. “EDSA? EDSA goes on holiday? An essential service provider?” He complained.
He said this is a holiday period and they don’t deserve to be in blackout, thereby called on EDSA to restore electricity to their community as they don’t want to sleep in the dark again.
