Following the recent National Town Hall meeting organized by the Sierra Leonean government, opposition figure and former Anti-Corruption Commissioner Ady Macauley has sharply criticized the event.

Macauley described the meeting as more akin to a “Tihun Family Court Barray Meeting” rather than a genuine town hall discussion. He accused the President and his team of staging a scripted affair where only supportive questions were posed, dismissing the event as a mere SLPP Paopa family gathering.

Macauley suggested that if President Bio truly wishes to gauge his performance over the past six years, he should visit local markets and neighborhoods such as Abacha Street, Krootown Road, or Bottom Mango and engage directly with ordinary citizens. According to Macauley, such interactions would provide the President with a more accurate reflection of the public’s sentiments.
