The Mayor of Freetown, Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr, met today with the British High Commissioner, H.E. Josephine Gauld, to discuss a range of issues.

According to the Mayor, “It was a pleasure to meet with British High Commissioner, H.E. Josephine Gauld, in Sierra Leone this morning.”

“We discussed a range of issues, identifying areas for greater collaboration to support TransformFreetown, TransformingLives, as well as the progress being made with the implementation of Resolutions 3 (the Tripartite Recommendations) and 4 (regarding political prisoners and political cases),” she noted.

As a member of the Steering Committee for the Implementation of the Tripartite Recommendations, I am deeply committed to working with the Steering Committee, the APC Party Leadership, and other stakeholders to ensure that the Tripartite Recommendations are fully and appropriately implemented,” Mayor Aki-Sawyerr explained.

In her closing remarks, she expressed her commitment to the cause: “I will also continue to support the process and advocate for the speedy implementation of Resolution 4.”
