The National Public Health Agency (NPHA) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced in a public notice that all 290 individuals identified as contacts in Kono have successfully completed the 21-day observation period without exhibiting symptoms of Viral Haemorrhagic Fever (VHF).

Contacts were classified into high, medium, and low-risk categories, and none showed signs of the disease during the monitoring period.

In the Western Area, contacts under observation have reached day 11 without symptoms. The MOH confirmed these individuals will remain under monitoring for the full 21 days as a precautionary measure.

The NPHA and MOH reaffirmed their commitment to public health and the prompt management of potential disease outbreaks. Citizens are urged to stay calm, follow health guidelines, and rely on official sources for accurate updates.
