On July 5, 2024, His Excellency Mohamed Yongawo, Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, presented his letters of credence to Serbian President Alexandar Vucic in Belgrade.
President Vucic emphasized Serbia’s commitment to international partnerships, highlighting the role of diplomacy in strengthening ties and fostering mutual growth through dialogue and cooperation.
In discussions with President Vucic, Ambassador Yongawo outlined Sierra Leone’s key priorities: the Feed Salone initiative, agriculture, energy, and youth employment. Following the presentation, Ambassador Yongawo held bilateral meetings with various Serbian ministries and business leaders, discussing potential collaborations and investment opportunities.
Ambassador Yongawo extended invitations to visit Sierra Leone, emphasizing the country’s openness to investment and investor safety. The visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance cooperation across multiple sectors for the mutual benefit of both nations.
