The Islamic Development Bank has on Monday 7th August, 2023 commenced the country portfolio review mission to Sierra Leone for a successful rollout of a project together with the National Commission For Social Action (NaCSA)
The Review Mission started from 7th August 2023 and will be ending on 11 August 2023.
The focus is centralized on assessing the progress of the implementation of the Country activities to date, and to agree with the various Executing Agencies/Line Ministries and Project Management Units (PMU) on the necessary and appropriate action plans to expedite the implementation, disbursement, and finalizations of the respective project activities.
The start of the mission has indicated the successful end and possible outcome for the benefit of not only the bank and NaCSA but for the growth and development of the people of the country.
The Review mission was also witnessed by the the Commissioner of NaCSA, Ambassador Ernest Mbaimba Ndomahina and staff of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) funded Sierra Leone Community Demand Driven (SLCDD) II Project.
The Sierra Leone Community Demand Driven (SLCDD) II project has got development objective to progressively reduce poverty by empowering and capacitating communities to sustain their economic livelihood builds on the earlier successes of its first phase in the rural growth pole model approach.
The Project is co-funded by the government of Sierra Leone and Islamic Development Bank as was communicated by the NaCSA.
