Sierra Leone President, Dr. Julius Maada Bio and the First Lady Fatima Maada Bio have completed the distribution of Ramadan food items to families in Kambia and Port Loko districts, according to a statement from the First Lady.

In the statement issued on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio said the Ramadan food distribution from her husband, President Julius Maada Bio, and herself was “successfully completed across Kambia District and Port Loko District.”

She noted that their team, identified as the JMB Wing and Associates, worked throughout the exercise to ensure that the food supplies reached the intended beneficiaries in both districts.

“Our dedicated team, the JMB Wing and Associates, worked tirelessly to ensure that the food items reached the intended beneficiaries in both districts,” the First Lady stated.

The distribution forms part of support efforts during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, a period marked by fasting, prayer and charity.

Dr. Fatima Maada Bio expressed hope that the donations would provide relief to families observing the holy month. “It is our sincere hope that these donations will ease the burden on families and bring comfort, peace, and blessings to every household,” she said.

As the exercise concluded in Kambia and Port Loko, the First Lady also acknowledged the response from residents in the two districts.

“As we conclude the distribution in Kambia and Port Loko, we remain grateful for the prayers and appreciation expressed by the communities. May this sacred month continue to unite us in compassion, love, and service to our great nation,” she stated.

The statement did not specify the quantity of food distributed or the total number of beneficiaries reached in the two districts.
