Sierra Leone’s President, Julius Maada Bio has shed light on the formation of the National Electoral Systems Review Committee.
The president expressed utmost confidence in Vice President Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh’s leadership of the committee, emphasizing the importance of meeting the set goals to stabilize the country’s political landscape.
President Bio revealed that the committee’s objective will be twofold.
Firstly, it will focus on reviewing the existing legal framework, institutional arrangements, and operational procedures related to elections.
Secondly, it will consider reports from both local and international observer missions, proposing key reforms to enhance the overall electoral architecture in the nation.
As the driving force behind peace and democracy in Sierra Leone, President Bio eagerly anticipates the Electoral Systems Review Report.
He envisions that the report will lay the foundation for critical reforms in the electioneering process, encompassing all Electoral Management Bodies, including the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone (ECSL).
With this strategic initiative, President Bio aims to deepen democracy and ensure a fair and efficient electoral system for the country’s progress and prosperity. The nation looks forward to witnessing the positive impact of this historic endeavor.
It’s will still lack transparency and credibility. I think what president Bio should have, is to choose or select an independent body in controll the committee. I mean not a person under his watch inorder to build confidence that in public, for the purpose of the committee

Let me hastily point out that this committee set by the so-called rogue president is deceptive and will jot address the issues surrounding his clandestine rigged elections. Bio think everybody is stupid,and he can manipulate everybody and go scot free,but Bio,this inquiry will disgrace you and Mohamed Konneh’s clandestine manipulation to steal the elections from the citizens. All we the citizens need Mr.Konneh to release all polling stations disaggregated data and announce the real winner of the June 24,2023 elections. If you are the real winner,we move forward, but of you are not,the winner should be announce and we move forward as a nation.If the results are for a runoff, we need unbiased ECSL team to conduct the run off elections.,and not these bunch of criminals.
