The Electricity Distribution Supply Authority (EDSA), in a public notice, has announced power outage in Bo during President Julius Maada Bio’s visit to that part of the country.
According to the public notice, the power outage is due to a fault on the transmission line between Bo and Kenema which was caused by severe weather conditions during the night hours.
The public notice assured affected users that there is active work going on to resolve the issue and restore power as soon as possible.
EDSA also apologised for the inconvenience caused and appreciated the patience of the people during this time.
“We wish to inform you that there is currently a power outage in Bo due to a fault on the transmission line between Bo and Kenema, caused by severe weather conditions last night. Our team is actively working to resolve the issue and restore power as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding.
EDSA Management,” the Public Notice reads.
EDSA faced significant backlash in the past months for intermittent power cuts and load shedding in the capital, Freetown.
Lately, the electricity supplier is being blamed for the spate of fire accidents and incidents in the capital and other parts of the country. Earlier this week, State House (the President’s office) and the 34 military Hospital were on fire. Although investigations haven’t quite reveal the actual causes of the infernos, majority of the public believes that unstable power surges and cuts from the electricity supplier could have been the cause.
