The British High Commissioner in Sierra Leone, Lisa Chesney, and partners have launched a new project that will help promote peace and free speech in Sierra Leone ahead of the June 2023 elections.

The launching took place at the New Brookfields hotel in Freetown.

The project which is titled “Promoting Democracy and Electoral Freedom in Sierra Leone” was witnessed by representatives from the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ), the Talking Drum Studio Sierra Leone, the Independent Media Network (IRN) Sierra Leone, and many more.

With the implementation of these projects are essential for a free, fair and credible elections.
