High Powered Commonwealth, EU And ECOWAS Delegation Arrive Sierra Leone Today

A joint delegation from the Commonwealth, ECOWAS, and the European Union (EU) is set to arrive in Freetown today, September 25, 2023, Sierraloaded has learnt.

This delegation is expected to facilitate discussions between the governing Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) and the opposition All Peoples Congress (APC) in an effort to resolve the current political tensions between them.

A primary focus of these mediated discussions will be the controversies surrounding the June 24 general elections and strategies to enhance peace between the ruling party and the opposition.

It’s worth noting that the APC previously rejected the June 24 election results, citing significant irregularities and breaches of electoral procedures. As a result, they opted out of participating in governance across various tiers, including the legislature and local councils.

Supporters of the APC are now eagerly awaiting a potential re-run of the June 24 elections. On the other hand, supporters of the incumbent government are confident that there won’t be another election, asserting that the results announced by the Chief Electoral Commissioner of the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL) will stand. They emphasize that the ECSL is an autonomous entity responsible for finalizing election outcomes.

Nevertheless, the people of Sierra Leone are hopeful that the mediation team will act in the best interests of the nation and its citizens.

A RE-RUN ELECTION IS THE ONLY WAY OUT Sierra Leoneans will not Accept illegality or illegitimacy & cohesion is basically out of the question for now, without the elections chairman first properly addressing the Hugh elections malpractices or anomaly. Sierra Leoneans Why the international rules base law & order is not working in Sierra Leone as a country. It’s means the country is not really regulated, pathetic. Ever since these dysfunctional & defunct SLPP cartel group received the country’s mantle of leadership, the group, have never known peace till now. Lawlessness, regional identity politics effected, corruption endemic & is the highest,& can not be quantify in monitory value. We also noticed intermittent interval random outburst of hate speech, lies, innocent killings, no freedom of speech, the continuous plunder of the central bank, & the destruction of the country’s economy. The whole election saga or process was just a sham and scam. Mr. Bio & Mohamed Konneh deliberately scam the overall & overwhelming voices & choices of the people, they both committed egregious, heinous, & treasonous offences. Bio & Mohamed Konneh needs to be tried in a court of law, regardless on how long it’s does take. These criminals needs to face the full force of the law, & it doesn’t matter how long it take, I strongly belief that the long arm of the law shall surely caught up with mr. Bio& Konneh So a re-run election is the only way out period

ECSL is not going to produce any form of results requested by any party to this election. Only the court could have mandated them to do so. However, APC as the challenger, has one option to the production of this result according to their request. That is, produce your own signed RRFs given to your agents with your results in order to force ECSL to produce the results by polling station. Until then, please KEEP QUIET!

There is no law that mandated ECSL to publish disaggregated data,same so,there is no law in the constitution that prevented ECSL not to publish disaggregated data if desired by the citizens or political party.So,the argument of ECSL was not mandated to publish disaggregated data does not hold in this circumstance. All what citizens are asking ECSL to do is to produce proof about how he arrived at the conclusion that Maada got 56.17%.This should not be a contentious problem.We assumed ECSL have all the disaggregated data,and the results ECSL read do matched to what he had collated.Let us do the right thing fellow citizens.

The constitution do not provide the ECSL to publish result by polling stations but by districts. That is why all political parties are mandated to send polling agents at the polling stations and these agents sign on the RF forms and send informations to their political party. The numbers of each political party vote cast is sent at the district and accordingly, this is what been happening to all the previous elections. Why the so premium on this election. If the APC have any evidence from the polling stations of any rigging, why can't they present it in court. The APC is playing games

If ECSL really publish this results as demanding by all the so called factions, then ECSL would never be an autonomous body guided by the electoral Act (law). There is nothing like mediation here. If these guys think they can find a fictitious rope to hang on for their corruption and money laundry cases to be discarded they are day dreaming. The only thing that can be negotiated now is for their parliamentarians not to be expelled as per the Parliamentary sitting clause and also not to be booed at when they shamefully go to occupy their seats in October.
