The Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary Education, David Moinina Sengeh has described the 2022 BECE result as the best performance.

He further justified his statement on his Facebook page by stating that “This is the best BECE performance yet!Congratulations to everyone- the teachers, pupils, parents, etc! I had said in 10 years if we are on the right track, 100% of all our students should successfully transition out of Basic Education. This revolution is happening in our lifetime. We will aim to shift literacy from 52% to 80%.”

Meanwhile, as parents and schools are patiently waiting for the official release of the result to schools and on the internet, the Minister is expected to release the much-anticipated result within the shortest possible time this week.
