The Management of the Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) has announced a power outage affecting four communities across Freetown.
According to EDSA’s public notice, the 33kV network distribution lines between Wilberforce Substation and Wilberforce Barrack experienced a wire cut on Saturday, August 24, 2024, leading to power outages in the Wilberforce, Regent, Lumley, and Goderich communities.
The notice states that EDSA is working closely with the project line construction team to ensure that repairs and maintenance are carried out promptly.
The Authority apologized to its customers for the inconvenience caused by the power supply disruption and thanked them for their patience and understanding.
I guess this is every other week. How come outages like this don’t happen with such frequency in developed countries?
