The Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE) has announced the reopening of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) online portal for the registration of candidates for the November 2024 Private West Africa Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

According to the press release issued today, Tuesday, 17th September 2024, the online portal is now open and will remain accessible until Thursday, 19th September 2024, at 12:00 Midnight.

The Ministry urged all candidates who have been verified and provided with their PIN and Serial numbers to promptly complete their registration on the WAEC portal within the specified period.

MBSSE has emphasized the importance of timely registration and called on school heads, parents, and guardians to ensure that eligible candidates finalize their registration before the deadline.

The Sierra Leone Teachers Union (SLTU) and the Council of Principals of Secondary Schools (CPSS) have been requested to ensure that school heads comply with this directive

To facilitate a smooth process, Ministry officials have been deployed to various centers to oversee the registration. School heads encountering any challenges during the process are advised to report to these officials for immediate assistance.

The Ministry urged all affected schools to fully cooperate and take advantage of this final opportunity to complete the registration process on the WAEC online portal.
