The European Union (EU) has voiced strong support for Sierra Leone’s ongoing inter-party dialogue, calling on all actors in the country to prioritize peace and national unity in their endeavors.

This endorsement comes amid the government’s active pursuit of resolutions outlined in the Agreement for National Cohesion.

The EU hailed the current inter-party dialogue framework as a critical element in upholding peace and agreement within the nation. In a statement, they encouraged all participants to continue engaging in these dialogues, emphasizing their role in strengthening national unity.

The EU’s commitment to Sierra Leone’s success was further reiterated with their pledge to continue supporting the country’s efforts for peace, democracy, and prosperity.

Meanwhile, the Sierra Leone government, led by Chief Minister David Moinina Sengeh, reported significant progress on implementing resolutions stipulated in the Agreement for National Cohesion. According to Sengeh, over 80% of the resolutions have been fully or partially completed. He affirmed the government’s unwavering determination to fulfill all remaining resolutions for the benefit of every Sierra Leonean citizen.
