An eyewitness and a supposed friend to one of the students who was involved in a physical fight at the Fourah Bay College University of Sierra Leone a few days ago has debunked the rumors on social media which stated the students were fighting over a man.

Hafsatu Z. Bangura took to social media and explained that the students attended the same school and they were friends till things happened and they stopped talking to each other. She identified the lady in the purple color top as Fatima and the one with the wine color shirt as Amara.

According to Hafsatu, Amara, and Fatima met again at FBC and Amara started spreading rumors about Fatima’s admission and the course she was offering to another friend who in turn told Fatima everything Amara told her.

She continued that Fatima confronted Amara with the issue on the phone but Amara rained insults on Fatima on Instagram countless times, which led to Fatima reporting the issue to her mother who in turn reported Amara to her mother, adding that the mother responded they were kids and would get over their in imaginary differences but the insult from Amara to Fatima on Instagram continued so Fatima blocked her account.

Hafsatu further explained that Fatima went on and confronted her again physically about the issue and pulled her to the corner to speak with her regarding the issue, adding that Amara reacted to it by hurling insults again at Fatima, to which Fatima’s cousin intervened and they both fought, wherein Amara’s sister also joined in the fight to defend her cousin.

She said the issue have been addressed by the administration who was made aware that Fatima had complained to her mom about the issue and no action has been leveled against them yet.
