The German Embassy in Sierra Leone has thanked Orange Foundation for sponsoring their Star Prize Video competition, In which applicants were asked to share their ideas about Germany and France friendship. St. Mary’s Technical and Vocational Centre in BO emerged as the winners.
Expressing their appreciation to their reliable Partners, the Embassy states “merci beaucoup à France en Guinée et en Sierra Leone for their friendship, boku tenki to Orange Sierra Leone Foundation for their sponsoring of our price and to all our friends who joined and supported us yesterday,”
The Purpose of the Orange Sierra Leone Foundation is to support Projects aimed at enhancing human developments efforts, particularly in the fields of education, Health and Culture. Since January 2021, the Foundation has embarked on so many activities and donations that have positively impacted the country in the health, education and culture sectors.
The Celebration of the French-German Friendship Day, was on January 22 in Freetown. This day highlights a unique friendship of France and Germany.
According to the German Embassy, “On January 22, 1963, the Treaty was concluded in the Élysée Palace in France, reinforced by the Aachen Treaty in 2019, and it has since established strong binational relationships in politics and society,”
Since 1945, the two countries have largely reconciled, and since the signing of the Treaty of Rome in 1957, they are among the founders and leading members of the European Communities and their successor the European Union which has led to the significant unification and the Integration Processing following the World War 2.
