The Executive Director of the Citizens Manifesto, Andrew Lavalie has revealed that they want the next government to submit six things in manifesto, while they will address the others.
He made the said statements on Monday 15th June while presenting the Citizens Manifesto to Chairman of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party, Prince Alex Harding.
He justified that the document seeks the views from 2,400 citizens and 800 opinion leaders across the country on the needs and aspirations of the Citizens.
Key among the major six things the manifesto captured are the reduction of youth unemployment by fifty per cent, installation of streets lights, Justice and security and the reduction of traffic officials.
On the part of the Citizens, he maintained that they should stop putting undue pressure on Politicians, stop begging accepting bribes. He appreciated the SLPP leadership for upholding some of the previous Citizens manifesto.
Dr. Prince Alex Harding thanked the CSOo on behalf of his party hierarchy for such work. He pointed out that though they have their sttrategy but this is an eye opener. He calls for an inclusive government to ease the political tension in the country.
Secretary General of the SLPP, Umaru Napoleon Koroma affirmed that they are in the process of developing their manifesto which will be presented to the public within the shortest possible time

citizens need economic policy adjustments in favor of the them but that’s not seen in this manifesto ie reduction in commodity prices.
This particular manifesto was made purely for their benefits. Not for benefits of the lame citizen. What about the civil servants are not important? Salary increments by 5000 new Leones for the ordinary civil servant to match up to what we call price inflammation. Please do this for civil servant then the people will not experience to much hardship.
