BREAKING: Heavy Gunfire Erupts Near Sierra Leone’s Military Barracks

Intense gunfire reported in Sierra Leone’s capital, Freetown. Sources suggest the gunfire is originating from the main military barracks at Wilberforce, near the president’s lodge.

Limited details available, but a senior military source indicates a breach in the armory at Wilberforce.”

The residents of the Wilberforce and Spur Road community were awakened by sporadic gunfire at 2 a.m. today. As of now, past 5:00 a.m., intermittent shooting continues to echo through the area.
