The United Kingdom High Commissioner to Sierra Leone, Josephine Gauld, and her team have held productive meetings with the leadership of both the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) and the All People’s Congress (APC) to discuss the current political landscape in the country.
During the meetings, High Commissioner Gauld emphasized the importance of inclusive dialogue and continued progress on the Tripartite Agreement as vital steps toward resolving political disagreements and strengthening democratic processes, particularly ahead of the 2026 Census and 2028 General Elections.
The engagements follow recent political tension messages exchanged between the two major parties. The UK delegation reaffirmed their commitment to support all initiatives that promote stability, peace, and prosperity during this critical period in Sierra Leone’s democratic journey.
Both the SLPP and APC leadership expressed appreciation for the UK’s continued partnership and underscored the need for national unity and collaboration to move the country forward.

He has killed a lot, chased a lot out of Sierra Leone, kidnapped a lot, harboured and protected the most dangerous drug lord in the country, encouraged the drugs trade to flourish using Sierra Leone as a hub, continues to face international isolation following the electoral coup he committed against the people of Sierra Leone on June 24th, 2023 multi tier elections killing protesters, and shooting opposition party members at the their office. Sierra Leoneans will storm the streets of Sierra Leone in protest against the Illegitimate President Julius Maada Bio if the international community fails to restore democracy.
You are the one having 85 recommendations and will implement the 5. Sierra Leoneans know of 80 and it’s been implemented. After that, we are looking forward to the 2028 elections.
