The Bailiff Office of the High Court of Sierra Leone has officially sealed the administrative office of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) following the association’s failure to comply with a court-ordered compensation payment.

According to High Court Senior Bailiff Officer Dauda Bangura, the action was taken after the SLFA did not adhere to a judgment requiring the institution to pay three million dollars ($3,000,000) to former Leone Stars players Ibrahim Koroma and Samuel Barley. The players recently won their legal battle against the FA after they were cleared in a long-standing match-fixing allegation case.

Mr. Bangura confirmed that the sealing of the office is a direct enforcement of the court’s decision, emphasizing that the law must be respected regardless of the institution involved.

Efforts to reach senior SLFA officials for comments proved unsuccessful, as they were not immediately available to respond to the development.

The situation has sparked significant public interest, raising questions about the future operations of the FA and the potential impact on national football activities as the matter continues to unfold.
