Inspector General of Police (IGP) William Fayia Sellu has addressed public concerns regarding Interpol’s involvement in tracking wanted individuals, confirming that Sierra Leone remains actively engaged in global intelligence-sharing through the I-24/7 platform.
Speaking on the matter, IGP Sellu stated that no red notice has been issued against Jos Leijdekkers in the past four years. However, in response to growing allegations circulating on social media, the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) have launched an investigation to verify the claims.
Sellu reaffirmed the government’s commitment to combating drug-related crimes and emphasized Sierra Leone’s readiness to collaborate with international partners in the pursuit of justice.
