Members of the Julius Maada Bio movement (JMB) have, during a fundraising meeting recently abroad, pledged to support President Julius Maada Bio’s 2023 election campaign with one million Dollars.

This is not the first time this support group has financially oiled the Julius Maada Bio campaign. In 2018, this group was very pivotal to the eventual success of the Head of State, who was vying for the highest seat in Sierra Leone, through financial support.

With this new pledge, many political pundits are opining that the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) will have a head-start on its main rival the All People’s Congress (APC), which is currently embroiled in turmoil.

According to the First Lady, Madam Fatima Jabbie Bio who was the guest speaker at the fundraising meeting, “many people know that it is this group of women who stood firm to see that the current president was elected as president in 2018.”
